Here is a pic of John on his original Gretsch with the Gretsch snare drum.

Interesting,

Looks like a 12x15 floor tom. I wonder if he bought that size with the set or if it was originally sans floor tom and perhaps he (or someone) repurposed a tenor drum to use.

Could be just the picture Kevin. I have seen other pictures of the Gretsch and it looks like a 14" drum. Hard to know for sure though and you could be absolutely correct. I honestly do not know very much about this set as not much is known.
