[QUOTE=thornbeck;164842]Here are some more pictures. It looks like the pedal is a "Riches". I can't find any information on this brand.
The lugs have "Pat. 1-9-12" stamped into each one. I thought the electric cord was for a motor, but there are actually colored lights mounted inside the drum. So there is no motor assembly.
There are also the initials "KRG" at 11 o'clock on the front head above the mural.
- Tim.....Wow....that BD just had it's 100th birthday!
Found this information:
The Complete History of the Leedy Drum Company
The Dutch Windmill Painting - $15
Electric Lights - $12 (flashing) or $8 (non-flashing)
So it's safe to say this is a Leedy bass drum. Now to figure out what year. The paintings and electric lights referenced in the link are from around the 20's. The lugs have a "1-9-12" code.

On the lookout..
for a "combination dog bark & comedy howl", (Prefer Great Dane model to suprise my bass player).
Cool1
Any help would be great. I just bought a snare drum at an auction that is wood and has a name plate of J.G. Richards Co. Cleveland Ohio on it. I don't know too much about snare drums but thought i could make some money off of it so took the chance and bought it. Both the heads are broken but didn't want to get them fixed in case someone wanted these ones on it. Any help would be great to how old this drum is and where it might of been used? i was thinking Civil war but not sure. Thanks so much!!!
