J R LaFleur & Son London

Hello! I've been trying to find out more regarding an old Jazz base drum and kit i've had for some years. The heads are animal skin and the engraving in the plaque can be seen in the photo below.

Most of what I can seem to find suggests J R Lafleur made wind instruments in the main.

Does anyone know anything about these? Anymore information would be greatly appreciated. I don't expect there to be much value i'm more interested in the history etc

I would clean it and restore it in a heart beat...Love the old marchers and orchestra drums.

Sorry for the delay i've been away working.

I'll have a look tomorrow as i'm off and measure it.

I'm a bit averse to cleaning it/taking the heads off as I don't want to damage anything. The animal skins are quite delecate and have been under that tension for 30+ years without being played.
