Listing the same drum twice under 2 different sellers? Check the serial number:

I knew it was the same drum by just looking at the description. I think ebay should make the seller list the city and state of their auctions.

Thoughts?

I can't see what the advantage would be for the seller?

But yes, shady.

That does seem shady. Guess he really wants to get rid of that drum.

The popular thing to do is list them both and hope that one exceeds the other in price (for some reason) and then end the lower priced one. Kinda silly though when you consider the fact that if you offer more of a product, the price usually falls as there is a larger supply.

Look at the dates on the pictures? Very screwy rabbit! eBay (if advised) will end these both and could suspend the seller/sellers if they find foul play.

Maybe he's scitzophrenic and trying to sell it without the other knowing.

Well, for what it's worth I think the seller(s) obviously trying to work something here. The descriptions are the same, even the same serial number on "each" drum. The only differences I see in the "two" items are the buy-it-now price and the pictures.

I clicked on the "report" item link (on one of them) to report it to eBay, but gave up because I couldn't find a "match" from all their drop down menus. I might call them later when I have more time. But for now, my advice would be to stay away from this drum and these sellers... something is obviously fishy...

Guy in the 1st link with 4 sales might be a scammer. 2nd listing guy has 340 transactions. I've seen it happen a lot with some rare car parts.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Agreed..the first guy is a scammer. He just cloned the second guys description of the drum.I saw something similar about 2 years ago, with a scammer who had picks of a luddy standard kit in avacado strata, and actually cloned one of pOOders descriptions, attempting to pass them off as "Ringo" classics.
