Is this unbranded cymbal Avedis Zildjian?

This cymbal was on eBay for a while so I took a chance on it. It's on it's way to me now. It's a 16" and weighs 1760 grams. It has no stamps, but it looks well made. Clearly hand hammered and seems to be bronze by the looks of it. It has a brass grommet in it and some rivets.

Anyone out there recognize the hammering / lathing?

I'm not sure if it's Zildjian or UFIP. Please don't let it be Zyn! I don't think Zyn were hammered like this one. Any thoughts?

Cheers!

Did Zildjian put grommets in the centre hole of band / marching cymbals? I have old UFIP with similar brass grommets in the bore. Did Zenjian also do this?

Interesting. Do you know for sure it's "unbranded?". Many times, the Zildjian stamp is VERY hard to see. On some cymbals I've gone round and round and still couldn't find it. Had to use a magnifying glass a few times.

Let us know when you get it.

At one one point they were selling unbranded (unstamped) cymbals out of the Canadian Zildjian factory in the 70's. I have read accounts here of guys driving up from Maine to buy them. Maybe this is one?

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony
60's Ludwig Supersensitive
Pearl B4514 COB snare ( the SC snare)
Pearl Firecracker
PJL WMP maple snare
Odds & Sods

Sabians, Paistes, Zildjians, Zyns, UFIPs, MIJs etc

Lathing looks at least early-50s to me. Too old to be a Canadian Zildjian. I think some Alejian cymbals (Slingerland Zildjian) had a very small "Alejian" stamp that was sometimes faintly impressed. Might be that.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I don't have the cymbal yet so I can't confirm if there is any trademark, but the seller listed it as "unbranded". I will have more information soon. I must pay closer attention to some photos of Alejian cymbals to compare la thing / bell shape, profile etc. Cheers.
