Is This Premier Snare a Royal Ace or 2000

Loading...

It has 8 slotted lugs; stick save hoops; center rod; and 2X10 snare wires.

Also, is it alum or brass. I know if it is a 2000 it is probably brass but how could I tell for sure.

Thank you

It's a 2000. The Royal Ace had a grooved strainer.

Only reliable way to tell what it's made of is to remove a lug and scrap the plating away on a small spot on the inside of the mounting hole.

Put a magnet to it.

If it sticks it’s steel, if not, it’s COB.

Pick it up and throw it. If it goes 50 feet it's Aluminum, if it goes 25 feet it's Brass.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

That is partially correct. if it does NOT stick it could be aluminum or brass
