I looked at all the catalogues from 1970-1973.

I cannot find a wooden snare that had the Classic throw with adjustable wires with no reinforcing rings.

I found a super classic snare in 1970 with the throw but not with the 8 strand adjustable wires AND the drum had RR.

The top hoop is too big on the flange and causes the rods to splay. Even if it's Ludwig, it's not the hoop for that drum. Splay causes the hoop to be pushed against the shell and bends the ears down during tuning. That badge looks to have been tampered with too. The grommet should be smooth and round all the way through. I'm not a Ludwig guy but the rest looks good, maybe the inserts sit on a smaller spring, again, I'll leave that to Ludwig guys.

The Classic throw with the adjustable snares stayed in the catalog until the mid 1980's. It would have been possible to special order a snare drum set up like that.
