Found this at a thrift shop and to the best of my research it appears to be an old Gretsch stand. There are no logo's but the rubber feet appear to look like the Gretsch ones from an old ad. Any help would be appreciated...thanks
Is this a vintage Gretsch snare stand?
Yes,Gretsch snare,made by W & A for them...........
Missing rubber tips on the "arms",of which I have no clue as to where to find them............
Yes - it looks like you're missing these rubber tips. I really like the snare stand. That little screw inderneath in the middle arm is a great little tension adjustment. I got the stand with this drum a few weeks ago in a local pawn shop.
AND:
I like the stand -practical - light weight.Clapping Happy2
Put some electrician's tape (you can be colorful too) on the arms - and who knows - you may find the rubber tips later on.
Get those speakers off the ground, Gary, and out from both the sidewalls and back walls!
They will sound much better.:2Cents:
Haha - ya - I know.
We hardly use them - they're for out Plasma TV Surround Sound. It's where they have to go. The large speaker in the corner is a Sub and it's working okay there. The towers.....we don't use them while watching TV - only if we're watching a movie. The Centers and Surrounds are off the Ground.
You really look don't you! Good one....
Nice little stand though hu.
The Pearl stands I have (s2000's) are nice but heavy. The flimsy little stands - the ones that are fairly well made - are pretty nice in my books. I have one stand that has the felt ends that actually snug onto the snare. The basket on it looks somewhat like the basket that's holding Billy Gladstone's drum in that 'famous' shot of him on the 1938 cover of Metronome Magazine. I really like it because it can adjust to hold my 10" snare drums too.
