Confusion likely caused by the lugs being the same on Standards from 60's up to and including the Rockers.

Yes sir it's a Ludwig Standard set by the shells and lugs it would date the set from 1967 to about 1972..As you know its a re-wrapped set has newer Ludwig tom mounts on the toms they should be the rounder looking mounts...Badge's with have been black and silver...Mikey

Thanks for the info guys. I building a frankenkit with different era shells and I just wanted to feel better about using this tom for that.

The last version of the standards,and all the rockers had no re rings.

It's definatly a standard. . It looks like it had the strata finish and someone peeled it off leaving the woodgrain look. I bought a standard kit that had a finish exactly like that. Look closly at the wrap seam and you will pprobably see what the strata color was. The wrap should go in behind the seem where the wood shell overlaps. Show a close up pic of the seam please.

After closer inspection and reviewing my pics, Im not sure what I said earlier was correct. Here are pics af standard shells that had the ruby strata finish peeled of and rewrapped with a cortex wrap. Pics are after I removed the cortex.

I could only see what looks like Mahogany that goes into the shell. The wrap I removed looks like some type of wood grain formica covering. It is extremely stiff and was very difficult to remove. Lots of damage to the shells outer layer.
