How deep is the seperation?

This can be fixed.

Secondly, how in round is the shell?

kev, super easy fix. get some elmer's wood glue. some large wood clamps plastics one will work. but I use expensive metal wood clamps! just pour the glue along the separation. let it run into the shell. let sit for a few minutes and clamp it for 8 to 10 hours! it really doesn't have to set that long, but better to be on the safe side!

How deep is the seperation? This can be fixed. Secondly, how in round is the shell?

at its worst point of seperation i can slide a piece of paper 7" deep into the gap Eye Ball so almost halfway through at that point.

at the least seperated point it is 5" deep ;( can i still fix it??

it seems pretty round, it is a little tweaked (it looks worse in the photo).

thanks for the info.

Elmers has something they call Rotted Wood Stabalizer, which is a more flowing form of the elmers glue, you might try this to get it deep into the delamination. I havent used this stuff on a drum shell before. You might want to try a bit of it with two pieces of wood first to see how well it bonds. Just a suggestion.

Go here to see it done. I have some How-To vids on my Youtube page. Please, use this information only as a general guide, and you can figure it out and make it work. You may need to get a deep jaw C-clamp or two from Harbor Freight, about 6 bucks each, but they are very handy for working on drums.
