Hey Gang,

I'm going to get a Slingerland Radio King stamp made to re-stamp some of my hoops. Do you guys think that there is a retail need for reproduction hoops or re-stamping hoops that have been buffed, plated, etc. and the Radio King stamp is gone?

I doubt you'd get rich doing it, but every OTHER piece has someone who makes a repro of it, so why not!!

Also, make it close but not exact. There should be something that tells a collector that is has been reproduced so the market stays clean of exact copies of that stamp.

Just a small detail that you do not notice unless you look for it and know it is there.

I was thinking about putting something on the inside of the hoop. The press will have to have a backing so I thought an R, or repro stamped would be good. Thoughts?

I don't think the "Slingerland Radio King" is a stamp, I think it's engraved....the Slingerland short/long extension arms are stamped...
