Is someone here selling this stuff?

Just came across this CL ad. Wow, someone's got a lot of drums. This has to be a member here on the VDF, no? Just curious.

Wow is right. I'd love to spend a day digging through that!

I know some guys from Shrewsbury Mass. I to went UMass back in 1985. It was my first adventure away from home (Oregon) alone. The very first person I talked to when I got to campus worked at the pizza shop across from the dorms. He played drums for a band that did mostly Rush and Jethro Tull covers, they were amazing! They won the campus battle of the bands out of 50+ entries. The prize was some cash and they got to be the opening act for Otis Day and the Knights at the spring campus festival in front of no less than 50K people. I took my first guitar lessons with the guitarist from the band. Animal was the drummer's nickname (like many drummers of the 80's), and he looked the part, but I can't recall the band name...I do remember thinking it was not that memorable.

Stop stringing and tuning your instrument, make music now.

Someone is a serious hoarder of drums and drum gear. There's good stuff there and some crap too. I would love to look through it though.

My hometown is about 20 minutes from Shrewsbury. I worked in a music store in Worcester and gigged a lot there when I was in college. I’m wracking my brain but I don’t remember anyone who would’ve had this kind of stash. I went through there a couple of weeks ago - wish I had known!! My wife would’ve probably shot me though :)

I agree... more of a hoarder than a collector. Everything from that Black Beauty to MIC crap. But who knows what he has that's not pictured. If he had pictured any Rogers stuff, I'd drive up from CT and take a look.

Without seeing the cymbals, it's hard to assess.

I looked into the seller - three prominent drummers/collectors and a well-known drum shop warned me to stay away. They wouldn't touch anything from this guy. Word of warning. Always good to get references if not there in person...
