Yes!... I did mention that I thought it was indeed due to the thickness/density of the two shells. The earlier Rogers 7 line COB Dynasonics have very thin shells, and the sound of those drums are almost crystalline in clarity/articulation, bell like almost, whereas my Rogers SuperTen's steel shell is much denser/heavier, and while most certainly crisp and articulate, it is at the same time a bit "duller" sounding then the Dynasonics... again, "warmer". I did also mention that this is what I had found based on my particular drums set up with regard to heads/tension, with both drums being equal in those departments. It was my "control" for the comparison!
