Intro Post - "New Guy"

Hey guys,

First post here, just looking to introduce myself to the forum. Lots of great info here and I can't wait to dig in more. As for my story...I've jumped around on instruments, but it always seems to be there's a need for a drummer above anything else. That having been said I scored a great deal and finally upgraded to a vintage Ludwig.

I'll post pics soon, but it's a '73 (I think) 5 piece blue Vistalite. As I dig more into the kit and everything else that came along with it, I will have plenty of questions. I'm already having a little trouble identifying some hardware and cymbals.

Looking forward to meeting some people to geek out with over great vintage gear.

Here's a couple pics of the new kit...these are 'before' pictures so I will definitely be visiting some of the restoring threads. Picking up some Novus tomorrow to get started on the shells.

Welcome we're open 24 7 always willing to talk all things drum related. Nice score on the vistalites. Take a good long look around, it's kinda like a great big library around here only you don't have to be quiet!
