Interior Shells on Rogers Dayton-Era Drums

Loading...

I've got a Rogers Dayton-era Pink Champagne Sparkle Bass Drum with a solid grey painted interior and a Rogers Dayton-era Pink Champagne Sparkle Rack Tom with a grey-speckled interior. Did the company factory-issue BOTH during the Dayton era?

THANKS in advance for your help!Help2

Yes. Early Dayton era drums well into 1967 were with the flat gray interior. About the beginning of 1968 saw the change, due to environmental compliance laws. The old flat gray paint is lead based, from what Ive seen posted elsewhere.

Also, to make things more interesting. There is a less common lighter speckle (looks more like 70's Ludwig interiors) that I can be found on Dayton drums. Making that two different shades of speckle.

The rarity is to find a complete Dayton set with all matching interiors rather than the other way around.
