Man, you are right. There it is. You can just see the eagle. Wow, its so cool to identify the make, year and MODEL! The eagle "decal" on this one I have is in really outstanding condition, too. THANK YOU for pointing that out! H.

Not quite sure if that is your model or not... the only one I see with a claw/hook combination is the Artist model Street Drum, but it has pass through center lugs, unlike yours which does not..... and the Legion Heir in that pic from the catalog has those center lugs as well.

Still, there's lots of possibilities..... it was a long time ago, and not every item made it into the catalogs..... some school may have placed an order for a specific config and that's what you have. Just having the eagle points to a special order of some kind.

Great drum either or whatever way it came to be among us.... yeah, I would do as you stated too... clean her up a bit, put some heads on it and play it !!

The catalog shows the center supports as an option on the Legion Heir - for another $1.50!

There you go, that only leaves the claw/hook combination as opposed to the claw/claw combination aspect..... mysteries are delightfully frustrating.........Cool1

Wow!

I've got that same bass drum. I bought it off eBay a couple years ago for nothing. I think it was like $15 and thirty to ship it. Thought it was a kids drum...

I made a light out of it. Still have it. Very cool drum, and the lamp conversion looks so cool through the calf head.

No extra holes for the conversion BTW. Reversible in about five minutes.

Mine does have all eight claws and hooks.

Lamp idea is a good one!

Methinks those claws and rods may be tough to scare up... What's the badge look like on your drum?!?

Hi,

No badge on mine either. Today is the first I've ever heard of it being a Ludwig. No badge = cheap I guess! Clapping Happy2

On the rods and claws... This is list is pretty amazing. Put the call out and get amazed! lol
