I went to buy a P.A. system off a guy the other day and he took me into the room of my dreams. He has an old set of Ludwigs he is willing to part with. They are sort of an orange tiger stripe with a bit of purple and grey mixed in.Sizes are 20 kick, 12 rack and 14 floor, no snare. Original rail and cymbal holder on the kick and he has the original hi-hat stand and hats. The shells are in awesome shape, no scratches or bubbles on the wrap. All original hoops but not skins. I live in Southwest Saskatchewan, Canada so these are a rare find. He wants 1500.00 Cdn for them. I don't have any pics yet but he is sending me some and I will post them. Any input on what these are or about the wrap would be appreciated. Thanks, Brad. They look early to mid 60's to me from the posts I have seen. Oh and they have the Gold keystone badges on all the drums. I'll get S/#'s too if needed.

Sounds like mod orange to me! If so, a rare and highly collectable set of drums there. With 14" FT - YOWZA!!! I believe I speak for all in saying - "MUST SEE PICS".

Do they have sepreate lugs on each side or is there a center lug? Could you post some pics of the set? A mod orange downbeat is my ultimate dream set and has been for many many years. That would be a great deal! I would just like to see the pics.
