I know it's of value...just not in the Gretsch,Luddy,Rogers range...
Any MIJ experts out there...
Please ring in..
That is alot like these MIJs in general. Value in the eye of the beholder.
I have snagged these up (same shell, same lugs) for as little as $35 shipped.
Yet, I have seen these go for as much as 60-80.
It is made by Pearl. I believe likely around 68-72 generally. I have had 2 of these 8 luggers and presently have 2 of these 10 luggers. I also have a 10 lugger with this shell, yet with the next generation Pearl snare lugs (the ones we all know all too well)
These lugs were used with the kits that featured the Battleship style Pearl lugs.
Great snares - I love them! Quite similar to the early Stewart Copeland snares he used to use. Surely ha has used one before, but not the exact same as his early "THE Snare" as he calls it.
I to have a few of these snare's.It is true these are made by Pearl sold under many name's. The 10 lug snare/s from 1968-72 matel snares are somewhat hard to come most of them are 8 lug.
Even harder ones to fine are the 10 lug wood shell's.
One thing i will say on the ones from late 1972 metal shell's. Every now and them you will fine one that is C.O.B. shells.
I have one that is a Tempro 1972 10 lug chrome over brass...Mikey
Nice drum ...........I like the badge
I wouldnt pay more than $50 for one of these. They are Ok, nothing more.
