also for the new members trying to get a value on drums...

I had a problem with my PM's so thanks to the member that asked me to add this as a sticky!

Here is an image of the posting screen. This shows you the buttons to click for posting photos, and creating links..

You have two photo posting options.

1. Attaching the photo. This will need to be under a certain size K size. If you are using a digital camera, just set the camera to a lower resolution. Most digital cameras let you shoot at 640 x 480. This will easily fit the forum restrictions.

If the photo is larger then use the sizing link in the post above this.

2. There are also companies that host photos for free and that is another option and explained in the graphic.

3. How to link to a web site or another post on the forum look at the graphic.

Hi Davis and thanks for reply

I am opening images with Adobe Photoshop but use other programmes but it seems I may have to take new set of pictures at a lower resolution to get your wizard to work so I will try again.

thanks

In Adobe Photoshop - - Save for Web.

It lets you change the size and file size perfect for the forum.

All of the options are there to re size and change image compression.

If you dont have photoshop and want to resize pics quickly.

right click on your pic, go to "open with" and select paint.

At the top of that window click on "Image" then click on resize/scew.

On horizontal type in 50 the hit tab key and type 50 again for vertical. Then go to file and click save or save as if you want to keep the original size also. You can repeat this to make it even smaller.

hope this helps someone.

It's also done by opening the pic w/ Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Right click on the picture and choose to open with "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Click Edit Pictures at top

Under Change picture size, Click resize

Under resize settings click the drop down box and click on

"document- Small (800x600 px)

Then click "OK"

Click "close" then click yes when it asks if you want to save changes....

It works perfect....

There is a great tool offered by Microsoft that lets you resize images, as well as reducing the file size of the image.

Installing Image resizer gives you the option of resizing images when you right-click on any image, or selection of multiple images. Then simply choose the size you want and go. Default settings make copies of the original, but you can choose to resize the originals, and also choose custom size options.

The only drawback is that it is for Windows XP only.....
