I bought this a few months ago and still no luck tracking down what brand it is.
It has calfhind heads my have come with the drum when new.
The wood appears to be Asian Mahogany - the shell is thin and flexible. I removed the tom holder and didn't put it back on. It would probably tear away from the shell with normal to heavy play. It looks like it's an after factory install - don't know for sure though. The lugs are hinged.
It does not look like a high quality wrap but it is very sparkley - intense reflection there.
Maybe it was a marching drum? There are no spur holes. I'm guessing 1950's or before?....only because of the Calfhide heads.
Sorry for the double post (earlier posted on the Vintage Drum site) - maybe better luck posting it here -thanks
