Im psyching over this Psychedelic red mistery!!!...Help!

Loading...

I found her last night... 11.00 pm...Close to LAX area...

I was about to pass on her because of the "issues" but then I thought: What the hell!...I load her up on my car and drove home very late with an unknown psycho on my back seat...

I tried to have some sleep but their identity started hunting me

Im psyching over!!!

Please help me with this misterious green-faded beast!

Facts:

9x13,10x14,16x16,16x18,14x24

NO BADGES

UNMOLESTED GROMMETS

White factory paint interior on all the drums but the 16x18 wich its a Grey speckled

DOUBLE SET OF SPURS

very faded green on the pattern

16x18 has the typical wrap "patch" (which has some cracking easily reparable)

Brackets for clip AND classic mounting systems (on both drums)...DRILLING LOOKS FACTORY

Rob Cook's Ludwig book page 176 states: " A few drums were produced after Ludwig run out of the brass Keystone, But before the recieved the badge that replaced it, the "Blue/Olive". These drums were fitted WITH THE GROMMET ONLY; NO BADGE AT ALL"...

Ive never seen one on my life and looks like a picked up a whole set of those last night...

She's on the room with others now...and I have serious plans for her....Mwahahahaahahahahaha!

Hey Louse. Yep, its a super cool color...Ive been thinkin on restoring the geen back . Ive heard the green can be repainted somehow and then sealed with glossy laquer used for art. I'll start investigating on the subject...

Id love to have Ludwig dude and the Ludwig bunch sharing their thoughts on this badgeless set. It is really a first sight for me. Ive never heard of one besides the small mention at Cook's book...

One of the rack toms has both, a 70's clip-mount and a regular L-arm tom mount on the same drum. I wonder which one was the original and which one was added?

Great score, the wrap is still in bright, colorful, beautiful condition. Enjoy.

Too many great drums to list here!

Are there any factory examples of Ludwig using double mounting for accessory use, like Rogers collets were used?Say,clip mounted toms and regular mounts for a cowbell or other accessory?Or a clip mounted bongo on another drum?Seems that is unlikely due to weight on the little arm.Cool finish-cool sizes-makes me want to play "Footstompin'Music"by Grand Funk-

Opened up all of them today. Unmolested grommets. They are the rare 1969 Un-Badged drums which Cook's refered to on his book. 24" and 18" Psychedelics are hard to come by...
