I'm back in the Sonor Club. I just bought a Hilite!

Yep just bought a lovely little gem of a Hilite.

Its not the first time in the Sonor camp. I used to own a lovely Designer kit which I sold years ago to make way for my Ludwig Downbeats. Lovely drums, heavy though and the hardware needed sorting out, The bass drum and floor toms kept falling over. Common with designers. I think the previous owners over tightened everything.

Anyway Its en-route from Germany and should be with me soon.

You can view it on eBay no. 121571273784

Hope it sounds good when it gets here. Looks good though.

Hilites sound truly good. I have that same set but in 10 12 14 & 15 floors + 18 BD. Might sell them as I have too many Sonor kits.

Would you have an interest in a matching 14 x 4 Hilite snare?

Either way, enjoy your Sonor!

Wow.. That's one beautiful looking kit Ian.. and they sound great too... Always impressed me with their tone.. toms & BD. That kit looks brand spanking new to me and the grain matching is outstanding..

Lucky Guy..

Thanks guys. I really am excited. Not a vintage as such, but maybe in 20 years we could call it that. The newest kit I've bought in years!

I can't believe they weren't snapped up. I paced around for a few days kind of wishing someone would steal them away, but the other night I did it. The exchange rate into pounds is unbelievable even including shipping. I bought the 10" to go with it although its orphan, I may get the snare yet although I have around 25 snares kicking about right now.
