Identifying Dynasonic?

Loading...

Hello, I wonder if someone can help me. I recently bought this Rogers Dynasonic. I don't know much about vintage drums but having looked up the drum's history and photos online, I am starting to wonder whether the drum I bought is entirely right.

Firstly, inside the shell it says "Made in England" which seems wrong (!?!) plus the rogers script logo is different from the lettering on the strainer. There are other things that make me wonder about the drum. I hope these photos are useful.

The drum is nice sounding but I would like to know what it is...

Thanks for any help in identifying this drum.

Just did a little checking in Rob Cooks excellent book on Rogers. From what I can see you have an English made Dynasonic. Don't think Rob would mind a short quote.

" The UK Dynasonic drums can be distinguished from their rather superior USA namesakes by the Ajax internal muffler and the oval "Custom Built" badge without serial number or grommet. Where fitted the UK logo was chrome finish."

Hope that helps.
