Thanks for the offer, but my wife bought this for me, plus the fact that I'm loving this thing, so it won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I'm a 'tambourine/Pandiero guy.' If you look carefully at any photos I have ever posted of my kits when they are set-up to play, you'll notice the Pandiero sitting just under the hats. And it's not there for looks, I use it. Like I said, it'll be awhile before I even think of letting this little gem go anywhere.

Keep an eye open for one! It's worth the effort just for the sound alone that the instrument produces. Great jingles! That's really what makes, or breaks, a good tambourine. This one, 'has -that- sound.' Mojo out the ying-yang...

Thanks John but keep me in mind. I've got a 70's Ludwig wood one and I agree, they have a sweet sound. I'd mount one like you have but my 18" FT takes up a lot of room under the hihat......

I would imagine, with the right stand, that you could mount one of these suckers just about anywhere there is an opening. I'll keep my eyes open for one for you. If I spot one somewhere, I'll pm you.

Not trying to dredge up the ancient post but I have a line on one of these 98a tambourines

from a local guy, wondering how you guys feel about $125? I think it's a bit steep but it's NIB old stock mint with the paper tag still on it, but I want to set it up and play it so the mint museum aspect isn't that important to me. Thanks in advance :)

I've had two of them ........... they are monstrously heavy, built like a tank, and require great physical strength to play them. They are the best sounding tambourine hands down in the world but: you will need to modify the hand grip with a pad as you will get blisters due to the weight of this instrument.Women Don't like it because it is too heavy. Men??

They are worth the money ............. but only if you can play it, if you are going to mount it No......... Problem

The jingles are hardened phosphor bronze. You can see pictures of paul macartney "beatles" using one of these, and in the picture he had a rag wrapped around it where you hold it to protect his hand from blistering........ how do I know??

Welcome to the forum! Man, you revived an old thread, but your input is most welcome and good advice for anybody contemplating buying one of these 'tanks' as you call them. The sound is what makes it worth the extra effort.
