Identification help?

I recently acquired this set but can find no markings or badges. The hardware is mixed (Beverly pedal, Rogers Hi-hat, etc...), and the cymbal is a Beverly. Any ideas?

Pardon, Mikey7777, this is not a Star set. Star never (!) used the tom brackets with arms going into the shell. They always used the brackets with the slot only, and later other systems, again: with "attachment brackets' for which no extra hole had to be drilled leading the tom arm into the shell.

Also the lugs are not 100 % identical to the ones Star used (you may remember our private discussion per email about that, don't you?).

I'd say it is a no name set of Japan (a 'MIJ'), but from a different source than Star. Perhaps an early Hoshino?

Is mine similar ?

No badge, or evidence of there ever being one.

Perhaps a "sticker style" badge that Mikey777 has mentioned before used to be applied?

I used to have a kit that looked exactly the same. They were old Olympics that my Uncle played in the late 50's early 60's. The wrap on that ft is identical. That is so cool brings back memories.
