Identification Beverly?? Last viewed: 8 minutes ago

They look to be post 1970 drums to me but not too long after. The Beverley brand was dummed down by Albert Della Porta(he owned the trade mark---not Premier) for a while because there were too many British drum brands ; Ajax,Edgware,Dallas,Carlton,Autocrat,Broadway,Premier,Olympic,Beverley,Stratford and I think I have forgotten a few. Beverley was turned into an entry level brand until about 3/4 of those other brands quit around 1970. Beverley was offered to Boosey and Hawkes to distribute through their established dealer network(they had dropped drummaking) and the marque was upped into a more professional line. I think these are from early in thay era.

Okey, I have the answers :p

It's indeed an early 70's Beverly B&H kit!

the downsides:

-its a rewrap

-most of the mounting hardware is replaced (floor legs, bass spurs, tom mount,..)

-and the bass hoops are new wood hoops

the good things:

-the shells are in premium condition

-they sound great

-and they are for sale for 400euro = $543

there you have it :p

Dennis,

There's another Beverly available for a reasonable price, 1 hours drive from your place. (Rotterdam/Holland)

Unlike the one you were looking at, this seems to be the real deal. Some fading, missing hoop-inlay but original and with snare!

Never played Beverly but from what I've heard,... killer sound!

That snare should sound amazing. (called the Brit's answer to Supraphonic)
