once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Color is Blue Astro! I've NEVER seen Standard shells with clear interiors! I had a first year S-320 (12, 14, 20, 14) in Blue Mist with white interiors. Ludwig quickly began spraying granitone in them. My educated guess is that Ludwig needed to produce a kit quickly, had a bass drum shell all set to go, but no time to spray granitone in it.

ty i knew that i was mixing them with some other kit i m too much of a geezer the hang tom is clear too the date stamp is under the clear so that don't make sense the date stamp is on top of the granitone and smears easy

Jag - a lot of guys swear by those. The 'theory' is; the lighter hardware allows the shells to vibrate better than shells with the heavy classic stuff on them. I've never heard a side by side so I don't know. But they do have a rep for being great sounding drums. Enjoy em.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
