Looks like an import (Japan) Better pics of the inside shell would help, but if it's an import, approx. 25-50 bucks. The finish is pretty cool, that might bump up the value if someone is looking for a match.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Looks like maple re-rings, what does he want for it? Close-up pics would help. Others may chime in.

That's a Tiger's Eye -wrapped Pearl drum from the 60's ! Probably a Luan shell with the maple rings. As an instrument it's only so-so (if you can recut the batter egde to sharpen - it'll improve the sound immensely). BUT - as a collector's tem it's actually pretty valuable because that wrap is irreproducible today and is very sought after. This would fetch $150 on eFlay (w\no issues - but yours has a replacement strainer - so probably worth about $70 -90). Any other finish - worth maybe $60
