Andrew very nice buy there!! I think you'll be very happy with it. Yes hopefully it's a 1 ply steambent maple shell like everyone has stated. They do sound wonderful~! Emory @ Drumatix sells a nice repop handle in both chrome and nickel finishes. Congrats and please keep us updated once you get the drum in hand!!

Nice Dave. I have a similar drum that I bought from a forum member here. It has the 3 point strainer and an extra hole though. It also needs a correct knob for the muffler. It's a very cool drum.

I'm still waiting for a shipping quote from the seller of the blue drum. It's all gone a bit quiet.

No, but I bought it from the original owner. He was one of those guys who wouldn't ship on ebay and he is only about 15 min from my house. It is a 1959 and loved the fact it came with a 12 instead of a 13. Cool thing was I drove my 1955 olds over to pick it up then went to a car cruise. No one batted an eye about the kit.

I wish I could find one with a 3 pt but have only tripped across 3 RK's all with clamshells.
