I started playing the drums at the early age of 13 My older brothers both played guitar. My oldest bro was 18 at the time. My dad got me a 4 Piece slingerland kit. My oldest brother was a lead guitar player in numerous bands back then. The drummers in his bands would give me lessons all the time. I had some step cousins back then that were taking guitar lessons. I would take my drums to thier lessons and play with them. I got in a band with some guys my age back then. We played for 2 gigs that I can remember. It was a blast! Mean while my other bro was gettin up a band and they were looking for a drummer. I knew this. One day day they were all at our house, so, I went in my room and played "wipe out" on my drums. His fiennds all came and listened and wanted me in thier band. After much protest from my bro I was inducted. I dont remember ever playin a gig with them. This bro was actually a natural born motorcycle racer. He raced and won consistantly,

I got invollved in racing and tossed my drums to the side. meanwhile, my olldest bro "butch" was still playin. 30 ys later, I went to a jam butch was havin, and the drummer didnt show up. Butch elected me drummer. I protested and said I wasnt worthy to play with such talent. He had his own drums (now my 60's vintage tear drop sonors)Well, there wasnt any drumsticks either. We pulled a piece 1" quater round moldin off of the bathroom floor and ground em down to ressemble drum sticks. I played and got readdicted. Soon after that Butch came to work for me. cuttin to the chase, we had a halloween party in the storage next to my shop with live music, then a birthday party, then thanksgiving, christmas, new years, my b day etc...Eventually we turned the storage into a lil club we call "The Fisher Jam Hole" We have it all fixed up like a club with neons and a real dance floor and a stage with house drums. My tama rock stars with 4 toms a floor tom and a pearl rack and lots of cymblas.

My bro gave me the sonars and a good friend of ours had the luddys and he diied and I bought the luddys from his son. They have been in a closet for 2-3 yrs now, untill my girl friend suggested I set one up in the livin room. lol Now i am on a drum mission to the delux! My 2 vintage drum kits are comming together. I't warms my heart to find such wonderful place to share this!

Just kidding!

Sticks from floor molding? That is great and they should be hanging in your lounge!
