My hubby and I recently moved, while cleaning the attic I came across his old drum set. Here is what I have figured out:

It is a Pearl (silver script badge)

I think it is sparkling blue pearl

2 Ambassador tom-toms

ludwig rocker

emperor snare

Remo - Weather King Bass Drum

pro pedal

there is a symbol

2 pedals

any one have an idea what I should do to identify? I can't find a model number and don't want to take it apart for fear i may ruin it??

I would love to restore for him; actually not sure what to do??

thx!!!

;)

Pics would help, unless you are using a MAc (which is why I can't post pics)...

It's actually pretty hard to ruin drums unless you use paint or sand paper...

Cymbals- brand name? Stamp?

If you have a hard time posting pics on here, post them on your photobucket account or blog and post the link in your next response.

Those drums look CLEAN- not much to do to them...

Jonnistix likes single-ply Aquarian coated heads on the top (batter) side of Made in Japan drums. Maybe remove the lugs and give them a polish if they are a bit dirty.

You have a nice kit there!

Never fear, oh Allfarmgirl- people who want to look at my stuff look at my blog. I never figured out how to manipulate photos for this forum.

Photobucket is a nice place to host pics.

That's on the heads.

The heads do not tell the story of the drums. Remo made a lot of drum heads.

I can't say what vintage those Pearls are, but they are definitely something very, very nice. They are in great condition and wouldn't need much.

The cymbal is made in Italy, but there are a few manufacturers from there. I admit that I am a snob and only pay attention to vintage K Zildjians and Paistes and don't care much about Italian cymbals; however- there are a few who like those cymbals...

Nice kit!!!!

Thanks for your help; you're the only reply... i must have scared off everyone with my I know nothing about drums.

I'll keep researching; I think this set was given to my hubby when he was young, he has no interest in playing anymore. Maybe I can restore them and sell them to someone who would appreciate them?

Thanks again!!!!
