I Have Two Kits

Loading...

I'm not a collector of fine drums, it never really interested me to own more than I need. I can't even decide which kit to use at our next gig. They both sound great and don't look to shabby on stage. There are no extra holes or funny business going on, but the Rogers has wrap issues and the Ludwig was somewhat pieced together, with the floor being a keystone badge and the others have the b/o badge.

Anyway, here they are, they may not be perfect, but they are mine.Cool1

Hey JR!

I'm partial to Rogers! I bet they'd sound great at your next gig. Trust me...I'm a drummer!

Ha, that front head came with the kit. I'm buying a coated Ambassador and getting a black Rogers logo sticker this week. Then it will be ready for our Friday gig. I'll probably use the Ludwig Saturday because it's a bigger venue and the Ludwig has some serious boom.

That'd be a tough call. I've owned both. Definitely different sounding. Loved them all. Go with what ya feel. That said, red sparkle's always great looking on stage. But, Roger's bass drums just kick butt. They're all fun to play....

Under the lights the red is Las Vegas all the way

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Nobody pulled off the onyx wrap look better than Rogers.

Who ever added the Pearl double tom mount to those (obviously) re-wrapped turquoise Rogers should be put on vintage drum probation for a minimum of 10 years. Crash, I hope it wasn't you.

I didn’t do it! I can’t change what’s done, so I make the best of it by using the second hole for a ride cymbal....
