I got my new "vintage" sonor blue slate pearl floor tom today. I founds it on craigslist in canada. I persuaded the guy to put it on ebay, since neither one of us trusted each other. he did and i bought it. It matches the rest of my kit perfect! I'm so excited after rewraping the 20" floor tom to match my 68 luddys and it didnt match. this is vendication! The floor tom seems to have the excact same amout of smoke and fading as the rest of my kit does. hehe. Drums make me bi-polar! attaching pics. I "poppy" actually fabricated and cut and sew and installed the cover and studs on the THRONE so be sure and check the throne out.

"Contributing Member" is a label that automatically goes by a members name when they have put up 100 posts... as the amount of posts grow, there are other "labels" that get added, all the way up to "Vintage Guru"... I believe that "Vintage Guru" is the top label. It's just something that automatically happens on the site as it was set up by the webmaster... kind of a fun thing actually... but really meaningless. So... at 38 posts so far, you are a "Member"... but that will change as your post count grows!

Sonor sure scores style points.. those are sweet! That small pooch seems a little disinterested. ;) Nice creative saddle tapering with your studs on the throne.. looks great.

It sounds great! I just woke up the neighborhood lol. I didnt just put the studs in that throne. That was a small round stool. I copyed the shape of my tama stool. I cut a piece of 3/4" plywood and added a piece of 4" hi density foam. Then cut out the crockodile leather. Sewed it up. Installed the studs and stapled it on and covered the bottom with studs around the bottom.
That was the 1st time sissy ever posed for the camera! lol
