In the 60s?? I dont think so....:)
1940s, for sure.....but think of the millions of those 1960s MIJ stencil sets...most of them were not WMP.....they were some denomination of the color Blue or Red.

Yellow and Orange Paisley with the small swirl pattern.
I see more silver sparkle on ebay, so I say Silver sparkle, but that may be because people dont want to turn loose of thier Black Oyster Pearl. Or is it Oyster Black Pearl?

I don`t know guy,...The first page alone in the drum set gallery has five WMP kits of different brands from the 60`s.... I`ll go through it some time and count, it should give and idea.....
Not to mention every school had them cuz the go with all uniforms !!
WMP and silver sparkle were available in every cataloge that I have.
Blue sparkle, that is what I was told by ludwig management
