How to rig this old Tama Imperialstar mount?

Loading...

I'm not a drummer, but I'm trying to get this set in shape for my studio. I have an Imperialstar kick that's fairly old. The mount on it is missing the wing nut, as well as the shaft and the arm. How would I go about replacing it, or getting something else that would work? The tom I'm wanting to put on it is also Tama, but from a later period. It's 12" with no mounting hardware, so I'm thinking the suspension type thing to hold it? That's assuming I can get this arm/shaft thing situated.

It looks similar to this one:

It would be easier to attach a R.i.m. Mount on the 12" tom & clamp yo a cymbal std..

This would also improve the sound of both drums...

I agree with Rims n Skins:-)

It´s the easier method and you get a much better sound out of the Tomtom!
