How do I connect the Rogers, Swiv-o-matic, bass drum pedal to the bass drum? I bought the drum set disassembed years ago and I never was able to figure this out. I always slid the base of the pedal under the bassdrum, but there must have been a way to clamp it on or something? Maybe I am missing a clamp? This is a Rogers Holiday set from the 60s. Does anyone know how the pedal was meant to connect to the base?

There is a part that you attach to the bass drum and leave there. You can see the part here in the picture:
I try to watch out for these parts, but have only seen one in the last year or so. You may spend less going to a machine shop and making one.
