I'm trying to find the right snare for my '67 Ludwig super classic kit. I love the 6.5" depth on a supraphonic. I can find 14 x 6.5 super sensitive snares easily. I can find 70's supra's occasionally. But I can't find any keystone 402 supras. There are quite a few 400 series keystones out there. I've been looking for a couple months. Are the the 402s really that rare and hard to find? Am I just looking at the wrong time?
How rare are late 60's Ludwig 402 Supras?
They are Rare and expensive !
Well, sounds like I'll be eyeing more B/O badges. Any ideas on a price range for one in good condition?
If you are patient one will come along. The problem is it's hard to be patient when you're looking for something specific - I know.
I got this 68 one off ebay a few weeks ago. It needed a correct strainer, hoops, muffler and wires but it's a nice drum now. It wasn't expensive either. Thing is, I wasn't looking for one at the time. Maybe look for something else and one of these will pop up:rolleyes:

Your post was inspiration for me to try to find one. I've been mulling over a b/o badge snare to hold me over. The thing is, this is a kit that I want to keep for the rest of my life. So I figure I should sit tight and get it exactly how I want it vs buying and selling until I get there.
Haha that's alway how it happens. Stuff pops up when you're not looking. I learned that about dating in my early twenties haha.
