I think we have tried hard to answer your "how much" questions, but I gather people might be getting tired of the same type of questions.

No photos and no information as to buying or selling.

By now you should be able to visit Ebay, search completed auctions for what has sold in this configuration and get a good idea or range of what a basic 3-piece Ludwig set sells for.

Factor in the finish and then you have a rough idea.

We have discussed the BDP as being one of the least popular finishes.

I'm curious as to if you own a set or trying to find your first vintage kit? If you see a set you really like and in the sizes and finishes you want, I think you should make the purchase.

Price is part of the equation in my opinion when it comes to what you want as a kit.

When I used to go to antique stores, one in particular had a sign when you would enter the store.

"The best time to buy an antique, is when you see it"

Basically if you see something you like, buy it because you can keep looking forever to find the perfect deal and if you do not get it the next time you look it will be gone.

Many times there are items I see and buy when they cost me more only later to find deals that allow me to sell items to make my money back.

You need to jump in to the market and make a purchase.

As soon as you see something, go to Ebay, search completed items and see what things are selling for. It will at least give you some indication if people are even buying.
