Or, if you don't have those neato things...a small plastic or foam bowl and the really cheap stuff, mineral oil to soak for about 30-45 minutes and then run some 2-00 steel wool through them. Twisting it like a screw gets 90% then run the rod to get the rest. Works wonders, ask around , a few others have tried my methods and love them.
