The post about the Speed King pedal got me thinkin'.How many different bass drum pedals did Ludwig make until it hit on the SPEED KING?? I tried different wording on the WWW and didnt come up with anything of value. The only problem I have with my Speed King(plus a few other pedals)is that the footboard hits the tightening screw when clamped on certain hoops,ie my MIJ kit with thin hoops. Thanks,Vati

There was the original pedal from 1909 (made for many years) and a modified version they later tagged with the "Junior" name. There was the Speed Twin, the Super Speed, and finally the Speed King. They had other pedals after the speed king, such as the reversible speedmaster, the universal speedmaster, the junior (different from the old junior from the 20's & 30's), the Ghost (after they bought the rights from John Ramsey), and they briefly marketed the ASBA Caroline before changing things up completely with the imported pedals of the 80's and beyond.
