Those kind of moments are not at all pleasant. It sure is good you had an RN with you and even better that she's a girlfriend. Back in 2000 (age 50 or so) I had a episide where I was driving south on Rte 95 in northeastern MA. Without saying a word to my wife, I dropped of the nearest exit, went under the overpass and started back north. A few minutes later, my wife said, "Where are you going?" "To the hospital", I replied. Not the very significant problem you had, but scary nontheless. I thought it was heart, but it was a completely different issue. So I really feel for you and agree with all the other comments that your contributions here and other unspoken kindnesses of which I know have meant a lot to us and I am very relieved this has turned out OK for you.

Keep a good watch until all is settled down.

For us all of the aged here , close calls are everywhere it’s a matter of luck or being in the right place at the right time , and or with the right person ,to survive theses situations , but there will be a time when our number is called and our time is up all we can do till then , is live in the shadow of our past like the 2 guitars on the wall of the blown out apt. in Ukraine left un touched and a reminder of best of times our drums will be that badge of honor for us as the new memory for others God bless everyone here and long life .

To keep this thread alive, I have a NEW condition! I now have Shingles on the right side of my face, above my eye. It's been very painful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'm already on lots of meds, including antivirals and narcotics for pain. Because it's encroaching around my eye, I'm seeing an ophthalmologist this Friday to be sure my eye will be OK.

I've really been dealt a one-two punch between between shingles and my recent Pulmonary Embolism. Getting older is so much fun!!

Ohhh man! I feel your pain! I had shingles on the right side of my neck that went onto my ear. It felt like someone hit me in the head with a red-hot baseball bat. I couldn't sleep for several days. Even the slightest breeze felt like I was being shot with needles! My wife wrapped my head up with manuka honey and I had no scars after I healed up. I highly recommend it! Get well, soon! They say there's two things that are slightly worse than the pain of shingles: Childbirth and being shot. after that...shingles! :(

Wow man, that is a real bummer! So glad you survived the chest pain but I'm real sorry to hear about the shingles. I have been planning to get that vaccination, been putting it off for a while but hearing this will inspire me to get it done so thank you.

I cant say much more than the other guys have, you are a great person and a huge asset to this forum, I'm so happy to know you! Take care and I hope you get better real fast!

I don't know what to say. All I can tell you is that my eyes are now misty and I'm feeling terrible. For a bodybuilder/weight lifter, I'm not very tough. Please, do whatever it takes to beat this, Mark!
