Tumbler is a great tool. Below is an old thread with some idea's. Have since added the Harbor Freight model much the same as the blue tire store unit.

Here is what I don't do after several kits. Lug springs will get all tangled together. If those or any other parts are just treated with blueing (like guns) that will be gone. Tension rods and lugs are in different sessions. All attaching screws are in place. The medium gets into the threads and tedious to get out.

Best thing for small threaded bits is an ultra-sound cleaner followed with a brass brush. Hope of some help.
