How Do I Get Black Paint Off?

Loading...

So the guy who had this kit before me painted the inside black (for reasons I don't know). Is there any sanding or salvent techniques to get all this paint off and show off the birchwood? (I think it's birch anyway)

Thanks!

That's a vertical grain in there, probably Luan. (Asian made drum.) Unless you plan to use clear heads on them, why go through all the extra work?

Did that one time! never again!!. Used citrus type paint remover and one hell of a lot of sanding. Still did not get it all off! and that was on a 70`s Slingerland maple shell.

okay, first I wanted to spray paint a black & red logo on my wall but I don't know if it would come off, so I was wondering if black paint would be hard to cover?

A good primer will cover anything. But I thought we were talking about drums, not a logo on your wall.

If you own the house... go for it. If we're talking drums... coated heads and nobody will ever know.
