Totally new to Rogers. Picking up a kit tomorrow which I'm told is a holiday kit but I have a suspicion its a Fullerton. The seller says their are no stickers inside but that they are grey with rings. What distinguishing factors can I use if the tags that were glued on the inside of the shells are gone? Thanks for any help!
How can I tell Ohio, Fullerton & 9/72 with no stickers? Last viewed: 4 days ago

My wondering was more for when I go and look at them. Are there things one might look for? Like is the speckled gray only in a certain era? How many plies? Different T rods? Any little thing would help. Pretty sure I'm taking them regardless but I'm curious about the 18" floor tom with 4 legs. Its so different than any thing I've ever owned.

18" with 4 legs ...is a GOOD thing..
Speckled grey is right...the lil paper tags usually came off...
These should be 5ply...remove a lug and count...
The T rods on the bass drum should have lil (R) in the middle..
Also ,..where the Rogers scripted badges are nailed on....the paper tags should be inside covering the nails on the inside of the shell...(look for remmants) about the size of a business card...
All shells will have re rings top and bottom (45%) unless these are concert toms..
These might have the big R badges ...if they do...make sure the say made in USA on the badges....if not ...WALK.!
U could always take some basic pics and email...
Il update ASAP..when yr there..

Not sure on the mount. I'm not even sure this is a keeper. You were spot on about all the markers on this kit, thank you! The kick is so huge as is the floor tom. I might clean it up for a sale or try and trade it for some sizes I'd prefer. I'd really love a Ludwig B/O 3pc. This is a definite players kit. All the drums do have the speckle grey inside. There are no mufflers, but the wrap is good and all the hard ware (lugs and rods, bass legs) are original. The only thing not original was the tom mount on the bass drum that I removed to see whats under there. Not sure if I should put it back on or leave the extra holes exposed. What do you guys think?
