Hoshino drum set. Worth picking up?

I saw this drum set in the window of the local charity shop today:

I don't really know anything about drums, but it definitely looked like it could use some new drumheads.. And it's obviously a shame about the missing tom.

Is it worth spending any money/time on? I've been reading some mixed things about this brand..

Anything specific to look out for? I'm going back there monday anyway to have a closer look at a german vintage guitar. I'm definitely gonna pick that one up if it's cheap enough and not in need of a refret..

The set could be worth picking up.Do you know the asking price? I do see a badge on the bass drum what is the name on it? The set is from the 60's was a 4 piece set someone added the double tom mount to it the mount is from the 80's.Look for extra holes.Another thing to look at are the cymbals any names on them? Look for a name on the snare too.It looks that it could be something .One + thing is the finish it looks to be in good condition.....Mikey

Unfortunately there was no price tag.

The badge is the same as the one on these:

It's a shame about the mount.. It looks like it might have had one similar to the one in the picture above? It's hard to see, but these could be mounting holes, and it looks like they would match that kind of mount:

I didn't really get a good look at the cymbals, and didn't see a badge on the snare.

EDIT:

I went by the store again. The badges are a little different and say "Hoshino Standard [Line? I forgot..]." There are holes that correspond with the mount pictured above. The drums are a bit more beat up then I initially thought. No logos or names on the hihat or snare. The other cymbal is a Zanki. The extra tom is a Wesper.

I'd pay $100-$125 for those.Nice replacement hoops,Zanki Italian cymbals and a cool vintage Root Beer swirl covering.I don't think any drums are missing-it was probably a 4-piece with a rail mount. They aren't particularly valuable, just cool.

The tom mount would be the rail mount as you posted i do see the two holes for the mount..The badge would date the set from the late 60's.The shells can be a 4 ply wuth rings or a 5 ply with ring inside the drum. The Zanki cymbal is ok not the best. The hoops on the bass drum are newer one's.The snare to me looks like a 70's M.I.J. could be a no name drum. The Wesper tom is not a Hoshino made drum its a 70's M.I.J. buy Pearl...With all this said i would not pay more than 150.00 for the set up...Mikey

Thanks for all the replies. Someone else was already at the shop before they opened. They were mostly interested in the drums, so they let me buy the guitar (which was only $45).

They were asking $80 for the drum set, which I had decided was my limit anyway, so I'm not really bummed out about not getting it. Had it been all original and in good shape (it looks a lot better in the pic than in real life) I would probably feel different.

Maybe the new owners will stumble upon this thread.. Not a lot of info on these drums on the internet it seems.

Anyway, thanks again.
