Homemade Psychedelic Red Wrap

Loading...

Hi everyone,

first to say I´m new here, collecting and restoring ludwigs for about 30 years. Vistalites, oysters, stainless...

just finished a psychedelic red project. Got a psycho red kit from a guy playing it on a raft the last 40 years. Kit was in very bad constitution, unsteady fading on all drums. First tried to paint the missing colours, then I had an idea and did a recovering. Made my own psychedelic wrap, see the result in the pics. What do you say? Cheers Tom

Fabulous job Tom and i wouldn`t blame you if you didn`t want to give away any trade secrets on wrap making but that wrap looks just super. You`ve got us all curious as to your wrap making so i`ll also say-how did you do this?

Yes, the refinishing job looks good, but I want to hear more about the specifics of "a guy playing it on a raft the last 40 years"!

What is that all about?

Hell of a job you did on that kit, man, looks absolutely stunning. I'm also curious how you did it - and I agree with Oddball, I'm even more curious how you took care of that BD, I'm having a similar problem with an old Sonor kit (though not as bad as yours).
