Yes John, it's 3/8ths, as are the originals, and comes in 36" lengths for $5.78 Home Depot. I may be mistaken as to whether or not it's stainless but it's shiny, like chrome, very hard and it is magnetic. I was using kind of a weak magnet to test it. Definitely worth doing if you want to use those old drums on the gig but don't want to take the original legs to the grinder. It also eliminates one of the big factors that causes scarring to finishes.
