Hollywood by Meazzi

Loading...

Hi

I'm not a drummer, but I have 3 drums (bass/tom/floor tom) that all have the Hollywood by Meazzi badge on, but I'm not sure about the model. I assumed they were from a budget range, but the mounting rings are labelled 'President'. Can anyone confirm which model line these are from these pics:

Thanks

Jonathan

Funny, just the other day I picked up a chrome 10 lug Meazzi snare drum with a Zickos kit I found. Nice drum.

From what I've found out they were made in Milan Italy and I think the President series is a professional line. They made some really interesting stuff and aren't too common.

What condition are the other drums you have in? How did you happen across them?

Oh, and Blair is somewhat of an authority on these things :) Just spoke with him yesterday about my snare. Very knowledgable.

Some detail on the 22" bass drum. Two of the rods are missing a claw, and the tom mount has sheared.

We've had these maybe 6/7 years. I bought them s/hand from a family acquaintance who was upgrading to DW. I bought them as an old cheap kit to go in the loft for our boys to bash on. Apart from the damage mentioned above the condition seems pretty good. They're pretty dusty and the chrome is just slightly tarnishing now. I'm pretty certain all the rest of the kit hardware and snare is cheap modern stuff.
