HiPercussion 7 Piece Drumkit - What about it?

Loading...

Hey guys,

Forgive my first post to be starting a new thread, but I signed up to see if anyone could give me more information about the below drum kit.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma in that I inherited this kit from my late father, which I then went about doing a partial restoration of some of the drums (the snare too, which I have all the bits but then since dismantled again) and used for a few gigs and recording sessions, but at heart I love small kits and really don't use this kit at all these days.

I'm now looking at moving abroad and I'm torn about what to do with this kit, which is currently taking up a lot of space in the house.

So really I'm after information on this drum kit, as in would this be worth anything? Is HiPercussion considered a collectors make? This kit was purchased in the early 80's and is in good condition, and good to play.

Is there any more information I can give that would help?

Thanks a lot for looking :)

Hi DrDem... and Welcome to the forum! From what I can see, the drums were made in Italy and really look cool. Other than that, I know nothing about them. A little research turned up this thread at Drum Forum, another great site for drums. Here's the link...

I hope others see this post and can offer up some information, but it also looks like reading through the thread at drumforum, and all the additional links, may just give you all the info you need. From what I'm seeing, and reading, you've got a rare kit. Because I'm not familiar with it, I can't offer you any advice on what they might be worth. But, I wouldn't sell them for cheap!

Interesting.. Never heard of them but to my untrained eye they look like they're quality made.

Sweet kit. Max Roach played them at some point. Rare enough to hold on to in my estimation.
