Here's the set all finished!

Hello everyone!

I finally finished the restoration. Here's the whole set all put together. They really sound soooooo good! Toms so punchy and round! Thundering bass drum sound! Snare drum sounds like some lumberjack splitting wood! I'm beginning to think I lucked up with finding these but it's a mystery, and nobody seems able to tell me the color or the brand name. Please help! DOH

Hi,

if some of the drums are really Trixon's, you may find more infos here:

http://www.trixondrums.de/trixon/trixon.htm

Search for 'drumsets' and 'Telstar' there.

Nice cleanup, but I think the BD spurs need to be longer!

We need to see close up pix of the badges, that is the ONLY way we will be able give you more info. The lugs are all 60s Pearl on the toms and floor tom, the bass lugs are from 68-73, Pearl "battleship" lugs. The interior wood, from this new angle, looks to be Asian mahogany or "luaun" and if this is the case, that they turn out to be actual MIJ drums, you have the only set of conical shell MIJ any of us have ever seen. So, to re-cap, pix of the interiors, pix of the badges and pix of the snare strainer and butt plate. We need to see these items in order to make a better guesstimation as to what you truly have. Good, clean close ups of the strainer and the badges, otherwise you have some drums we know nothing about.

Ditto what Jonny sez.

Myself, what I REALLY want to know is if a Japanese manufacturer REALLY did knock off the Trixon conicals. Cause if they did, I want one...badly.
